My Role

As Project Manager for Hank Willis Thomas’s This Ain’t America, You Can’t Fool Me—an edition of five porcelain works featuring a watermelon motif—I oversaw the entire production process, from concept to final execution. The artwork addresses themes of cultural identity and stereotypes, using the symbol of the watermelon to provoke reflection. I collaborated closely with artisans to ensure the porcelain was crafted with precision, managing everything from material selection to firing and finishing. This project highlights my expertise in handling complex editions, transforming challenging concepts into meticulously crafted works.
