Press Release

Context

This was a permanent mobile installation in the Østre Landsret (Eastern Court of Appeals) in Copenhagen, presented by Creator Projects. This project was part of a new, architecturally significant court building designed by Henning Larsen Architects, with the aim to complement the building’s integrity and trustworthiness. The installation was executed amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, requiring a remote coordination approach.

Responsibilities

As the Project Manager, I oversaw the entire process from fabrication to installation. I coordinated the mobile’s fabrication in Philadelphia, ensuring that the artist's vision was faithfully translated into a high-quality finished piece. I also managed the remote installation with a Danish team, navigating logistical and communication challenges due to the pandemic. My responsibilities included meticulous planning, coordinating between international teams, and ensuring that the installation adhered to both artistic and architectural standards.

Outcome

The successful completion of this installation highlighted my ability to manage complex, cross-continental projects under challenging conditions. The mobile not only integrated seamlessly with the new court building's architecture and design but also served as a testament to the collaborative effort between artist, fabricators, and project teams. The installation now stands as a significant and evocative piece within the Eastern Court of Appeals, contributing to the building's artistic and architectural narrative.
