My Role

I played a crucial role in directing the production process. My work involved overseeing a team of production assistants and effectively managing the delegation of tasks to ensure the artwork met the highest standards. This process required a deep understanding of the materials used, including oil paint, acrylic paint, archival paper, acrylic polymers, ink, Diabond, and wood.

The production of Blade of Grass also served as a model for the creation of additional works in this style, reflecting Sarah Sze’s distinctive approach that blends meticulous layering with dynamic, multidimensional compositions. My ability to guide the production process, coordinate team efforts, and ensure consistency across the various media and techniques used was essential to achieving the artist’s vision.
